Scot McKnight, Karl A. Olsson Professor in Religious Studies at North Park University, has a blog called Jesus Creed. He is a former colleague of Don Carson's and is now well into blog-reviewing Carson's soon to be released Becoming Conversant with the Emerging Church. I'm reading him, and I think anyone interested in the conversation should too.

I really enjoy your perspectives on the emerging church. Your site is very informative. Thanks for sharing this information.

I just bought Carson's book from the TEDS bookstore so it appears that it has been released into the wild. :)

Just a heads up for those who are working through and processing Carson's "Becoming Conversant" - there is some good reflection on Ryan Bolger's blog - he has some helpful insights that I haven't seen elsewhere.
FYI - Ryan is Assistant Professor of the Church in Contemporary Culture at Fuller and has just finished a book with Eddie Gibbs entitled Emerging Churches: Creating Christian Community in Postmodern Cultures which should definitely be worth checking out when it is released later this year - all that to say "he knows that of which he speaks" - additionally, he's just a good guy and his new blog is worth adding to the roll.

Thanks for pointing this out Jon. I've run across Ryan's blog before. I'll check it out again. I'm looking forward to Gibbs' book too.
