I say the Cubs need to draft this pitcher.

I totally agree.
1) The Cubs really need a pitcher.
2) I can't see why women couldn't do something like that in MLB. Football would probably get them hurt but baseball seems like a place that mens' physical advantages wouldn't matter.
3) The top of the page had the typical objectification of women that SI is known for. It would be great to see more women in sports AND fully clothed. Female sportscasters is a good start but I think women would get more respect as players. Good players.
4) She's good!

Bottom line: Cubs bad > Girl good > Cubs need girl :)

If your Cubs drafted her she'd probably wind up getting hurt.

Maybe so. Or she would really be bad, and then they would trade her for nothing special. Then she would be incredible for the next team.

give it up. you need more than pitching. on paper your pitching looks so much better than the pitching of my beloved cardinals. but, paper don't throw the ball every day.

Not that I can do much about it, but my son is a scout for the Cubs. He just started working this winter, so maybe he'll find a few that will help us!
Can you believe that, he'll be in the Draft Room on Draft Day.

That's cool Scot. Tell him to find the next Barry Bonds. That's all I ask.
Rick, it doesn't matter what we throw in Chi-town. It doesn't matter what we hit. Derek Lee is like the best player in baseball right now, and we still aren't any good. Why can't I mention the Cubs without you finding your way into the thread??? ;^)

I got sick of it today; I was reading McLaren's book and watching the Cubs and turned off the TV, went to the back porch to read in peace, and then Luke's wife came by and we had tea and I missed the rest of the game -- but I'm glad I did.
