R.C. Sproul, Jr. apologizes for comments about women bloggers. Here's his post that started it all.
Jesus-follower, husband, father, pastor, photographer, writer
i'm confused. WAS that an apology??

Not a comment about the "apology" per se, but to a point he made:
"The Internet, whatever its strengths, makes it easier for people, male and female, to “teach,” albeit without authority, and makes it easier for people, male and female, to sit at the feet of “teachers,” albeit without authority."
One of the inherent caveats of looking for information on the internet deals precisely with this sorta thing. We have to be sure we do more than just read one blog, go to one website, check one source for our information if we intend to use what we find. While to me this is common sense, maybe it is good to remind people to research thoroughly for greater understanding, less bias, and better protection against those who would mislead (intentionally or otherwise). We see the results of going to only a limited number sources for info on the emerging discussion...indeed, your blog highlights many of the misunderstandings that have surfaced on both sides of the discussion, the result of people limiting their research to only a couple sources or authors.

Man, wish we could edit our comments! AND SO MY POINT IS...I think what I mentioned in the above comment is really the spirit of what RC was saying, although he said it poorly. Seemed more like careless delivery of thoughts which resulted in offending some folks.
Was it an apology? Maybe. Definitely a clarificiation.
