Interesting post from Andrew Jones (TallSkinnyKiwi)...
Can I say it publicly? The season of emerging church mudslinging is over. Now its time to bless each other, rise up with wings like angels . . . and fly.

And I am not saying that we should stop the discipline of examining ourselves daily or welcoming constructive criticism, but I am saying that I think a lot of us have done enough explaining and defending to feel like we are freed up again to get back to the mission of helping God reconcile all things to Himself, and not to feel dampened.
Man, there are so many things I could say about that.
Fly. Cool, I've been waiting for the EC to do more than make noise. Let's seem them gather some PoMo converts to Jesus to love him and serve him.
The season is over. Sorry mate, you don't get to make that call. If there are still "issues" the mudslinging will continue. You can ignore it or respond but you can't will it to end. I don't believe it is over because there are still some unresolved issues. Carson's book, for good or ill, is only the beginning. His best critique is that EC has misunderstood PoMo. That is one that needs to be answered. The others can be attributed to his ignoring what it means to be missional (though I think it is more complicated than that.)
