Word is getting out that Reformissionary is blogging at the SBC. Somehow, News 2 (ABC) in Nashville found out and linked to me on their blog, "Nashville is Talking." Pretty cool.

Maybe some people will drop by and find something interesting beyond what is going on at the convention and keep reading. That could be a nice outreach ministry.

Steve, think performing baptisms on your site would be a good way to demonstrate your concern for the gospel? Seriously, though, you're my hero.

Cyber-baptisms. Hmmm...naw. Let's leave the baptisms to the annual meeting. That's better ecclesiology. :)
Now that I'm your hero, I guess I can retire and bask in the glow.

I'm wondering how they found this?

Congrats on the publicity Steve! Here's hoping that awareness of your blog stimulates more fruitful discussion about the church, as well as more intense examination of Jesus by those whose curiosity brings them this way. . . . .
. . . .next stop, your TV ministry, prayer cloths, pieces of the cross . . . .oh wait, we already dealt with those issues, didn't we? :)

Wow, must've been a slow news day.

Hmmm - sounds like there is an informant somewhere, not surprising given all the Deep Throat buzz going around - everybody is trying to cash in.
Now, what would a good comparable alias for an SBC informant be - of course, it would have to be consistent with SBC "values" - so the titles of old porno movies are probably out as well as the titles of Disney movies (even though some of the so called boycotters are trying to abandon ship and call it off - for shame, how do we know who we are if we aren't against something). "Jesus Film" and "The Passion" qualify but that would probably border on sacreligious for some and plus they are a bit too clunky to make for good journalism - "The Passion Outs SBC blogger - Says WIFI is a Quagmire of Misinformation!" - just doesn't have the snap you need in a good lede. How about Phantom Menace (too partisan?) or Bruce Almighty (too authoritarian) or Man on Fire (too pentecostal?) or Napoleon Dynamite (too pomo) . . . . no, I've got it Jerry Vines and the boys are pushing evangelism this year so its got to be "Saved!" "Saved! Points Finger at SBC Blogger Steve McCoy - Says 'Follow the Snores'"
Watch your back man - stay out of parking lots - there are eyes everywhere!

Good job dude! I'm putting you on my resume. Oh, wait... I don't have one...

Man, I'm busting a gut. I checked the link and you are listed right above "Rex L. Camino's Blog of Doom." His tagline is: "When there was only one set of footprints, that was when Rex L. Camino was carrying you."

The alias should be self-referencing in some way, right? How about "Diarrhetic Goose"? Not to dredge up the past or anything, but it would work and outsiders wouldn't have a clue.

Congrats to you, Steve.
