Beautimous. Chicago is looking to provide city-wide wi-fi, either cheaply or for free.

They're trying in New Orleans too, but... it's also apparently illegal. Everything in Louisiana law is messed up anyway- something about cajuns and the French. Anyway, free wifi at a reduced speed is supposed to last until the "crisis" is over (I wonder who decides that- it was in crisis before Katrina). And then the pay service is 20/month and normal wifi speed. Not bad at all. But let's face it, in New Orleans the right people have to get paid off (we make Chicago politicians look clean) so it may never ACTUALLY happen.

We have a lily-pad system in Cincinnati. Basically, there are hot spots accross the city which have free wi-fi. It is wonderful.
