If you didn't see my Saturday post on music stuff, please check it out.
I thought today I would point to a couple of online concerts that I've enjoyed. They are all on Fabchannel.com. Disclaimer: Some racy language on occasion. Shouldn't have to say that, but I get all types here. :)
Though I don't own one of their albums, I liked the Midlake concert. I own two albums and really enjoyed the concert of Explosions in the Sky despite less than ideal video/audio quality. If you haven't heard Explosions before, you need to. The Damien Rice 2003 concert is loud and a lot of fun. Cold War Kids put on a great show last November, as did The Frames. The Frames just entered my radar a few weeks back. And, oh, I like Spoon.
Feel free to offer links to online concert video you have enjoyed.
I really liked Xavier Rudd's Concert

It is nice to see that you have recently picked up on The Frames. It's crucial that you download their live version of Revelate. It was voted as one of the top Irish rock songs of all time! Also on this list were two Damien Rice songs. I got to see the both of them for the same show and it was quite something. Rice's concert was amazing for a number of reasons, but two that stick out are 1) how loud it was and 2) how amazing his drummer is. Rarely do you see drummers who can grab so much attention without hogging the stage.
Oh, and Spoon is great, even if they do do Jaguar commercials ;)

Hey Steve
I've been on to the Frames for a while now. Great band. We recently discussed Cold Water by Damien Rice in our house group. Good stuff. Thanks for the Keller material.

I used to love Damien Rice but his latest is weak. Oh and I love Spoon too!

For those who are fans of The Frames and Damien Rice, but have been let down by "9", I would recommend "The Swell Season" by Glen Hansard (of The Frames) and Marketa Irglova. It's great modern Irish folk music... complete with drear and foreboding... kinda like Rice's "O".

Hi, great music choices. If you like Explosions, you should check out "This Will Destroy You". They are also an instrumental post-rock band from Texas. Pretty Stellar if you ask me.
My friend, Hosh turned me on to your blog, keep up the good work!
