Nothing new this week, but here is one from about the same time last year. Love this one.

This photo gives me pause. It struck me, instantly, how these tractors represent work. Not just any work but the toil of those who've come before us. We benefit because of the sacrifices of others. "I did it my way," is an American ideal of fierce independence but none of us goes it alone. We may choose not to recognize the sacrifice of others but it's there just the same.
So as these rust old tractors sit idle in a field let's remember.
