A little brain surgery won't interrupt Music Monday. But to be honest, music wasn't a big part of my life the last several days. I needed my ears open to the needs and concerns of my wife. So instead of spending time trying to hurry up and get interested in something to blog on, here's some music stuff you need or need to know.
Here's a little free Spoon. Me likey the Spoon. And their new one, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, is looking good. I'll pick it up soon.
"Arcade Fire: The Salvation Army" from Blender.
Ray LaMontagne covers "Crazy." (you know, Gnarles Barkley)
I just wanted to drop you both a line to let you know that we have been praying for Molly, and a good outcome to this. I never heard from you after I left a note, but my wife had posterior fossa decompression for Chiari in June. We had wanted somehow to contact you or Molly, as Sharon and her have something rare in common. They are both Chiarians. We have a flooble chatterbox on the right column of her blog, if nothing else. Thake care, God bless you both. Bobby- http://billybobswildride.blogspot.com/

Been keeping up with the blog a while now, first time post.
Of course been praying for your wife, and hope all is well, and goes well with that.
On another note, the spoon album ga ga ga ga ga is beyond amazing. Some really interesting and more mature vocal work on this one mixed with pretty simple instrumental work. I think it blows the new interpol and deerhunter out of the water.
But, why haven't I seen any comments from you musically or otherwise on the new Bright Eyes album? Would love to hear your thoughts on it.
But, go, as fast as your legs will take you, and buy/download the spoon album, it will make you giggle with delight.
Peace out
