The Prologue of the Tour is underway as I type (follow it here). It takes place in London. Will doping continue to detract from this fantastic sporting event? I hope not. It's three of my favorite weeks of the year.
I follow most of the event on Sportsline's Tour page, and their live updates found here. I'm going to be checking in on Versus.com as well, which seems to have a lot of good info. It seems that Vs is the new Outdoor Life Network, which televised the Tour. Now on Vs there should be live updates, video clips, and more. Also check out the TdF live tracker.
I love the Tour. It is a shame that those behind the Tour didn't capitalize on the 7 years Lance was in power. Lance was to the Tour as Tiger is to golf.
The Tour directors could have used the new found interest in cycling to promote the event and the sport on a global scale which could have increased sponsorship, the fan base, as well as potentially increasing the talent pool from which to select the next generation of professionals.
With all of that being said I will be watching as much as possible and enjoying every minute of it.

Some great links there for following the tour. The official site has tried to get a little bit fancy this year and has become too complicated.

Do they always start in the UK? WHen do they go to France? BTW, I've heard some get mad at the pronunciation of France in the title. If using De , then it must be Frawnce. If using France, it must be tour of France. :-)Me thinks anyway

Rodney, agreed on the official website. It didn't take me long to not use it...again.
Dan, I think it's pretty rare to start in the UK. That's what I've read at least. More here.
