Darrin's messages were very careful and thoughtful. It was what you would hope and expect from someone inside the technical discussions with personal history with key players. There was color and candor to his presentation, while remaining charitable through and through with those he disagreed with. I'd love to have been there, and heard more of the Q and A time.

I did a fifty five page thesis on the Emerging Churches in my last year at WTS in Phily and found several connections throughout Patricks discussion. Some of the few differences between his presentation and my own is the time he spent on prior missiological influences, as well as treating the subject in its global rather than ideological setting, but all and all he did a great job. His first lecture is one of the best intros I've heard.

I wished I had known of Patrick when I lead the Emerging Churches conference there in 06 with Horton and McKnight and Franke and Leonard. I would have loved to have seen Patrick discuss many of the terms he went through on our panel...perhaps a student will lead another there and integrate...
