Arcade Fire continues making curious videos from Neon Bible. I've pointed to the title track interactive video, "Neon Bible," before. Now there's "Black Mirror," which is less interactive but still well worth watching.
The Black Cab Sessions is a similar, though less beautiful, version of the Take Away Shows. The Take Away Shows are artists playing a song in curious locations in Paris. The Black Cab Sessions are artists playing in a...wait for it...black cab. Nice. Start with Okkervil River. Then go to The National and The New Pornographers.
Ariel "AJ" Vanderhorst blogged on "The Best iPod Earbuds Ever." I have been looking for new earbuds that wouldn't cost me a Franklin, and AJ pointed the way. And I have to say, the V-MODA earbuds are really great for under $30.
Here's a very cool live performance of "The Clock" from Thom Yorke's The Eraser...
Thanks.
I really love this music.
It is great!
I want you to know I love reading your blog and have added it to my favorites. I look forward to reading it often. God bless you and hope you have a great week!

V-Moda makes great stuff for relatively cheap. When I worked at the local Apple Store I found a trick with most of their stuff. The longer you play the headphones the better they sound. We would always tell people to plug them into your computer or ipod and let them play at a fairly loud volume over night and they will sound better.
I am not sure why exactly but it would get rid of some of the tinny sound that they sometimes can have right out of the package.

Yeah- the Black Mirror video is something huh? I was impressed with the ability to play with channels with my keyboard. These guys are definitely messing the with the music video genre... in a good way in my opinion.
If you get a chance to see "There will be Blood" I'll be curious to hear what you think of the soundtrack (Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead). Crazy, interesting, jarring stuff.

David, I want to see it. It hasn't been in my area yet.

That's some incredible guitar playing!

thanks steve; i just ordered a pair of V-Moda's. They join my Koss PortaPros (great bass but fall apart almost every time I take them out of their case) and my Seinnheiser PX-100's (they don't fall apart, but don't have quite the bass kick as my PortaPros; fine cans though). I needed some good earbuds for inconspicuous public listening.
