I've been out-of-pocket for a couple of days, so here's a post with just a little bit of Music Monday, Lots-o-Links, and National Poetry Month.
MUSIC MONDAY
A new video from Hot Chip. Pretty cool...
In case you didn't know, here's the reason wearing red jock straps over your pants is SO popular now...
LOTS-o-LINKS
Driscoll loves the ESV Study Bible.
John Piper: Preaching as Concept Creation, Not Just Contextualization
I love this clip. If you ever need to work on your business card envy, here's how. (WARNING: A little colorful language. This clip is for Mommies and Daddies only.)
NPM '08
Love this stuff from Borders Open Door Poetry.
Check out The Poetry Center of Chicago.
Classic American Psycho clip... I love the fact that the cards are, basically, identical to each other.

Why in the world would you post a video with blasphemy in it? Or do you consider blasphemy "A little colorful language"? Do you think this glorifies God?

Love the American Psycho clip. That was my first exposure to Christian Bale (at that point, I had managed to avoid Newsies and Little Women), and I was hooked. Crazy movie.

I have to agree with the comment above. I am not too easily offended by colorful language, but I do find blasphemy to be very offensive. I certainly wouldnt have expected a clip on a "Christ honoring" site to contain blasphemy.

Funny stuff! I actually had a "business-card-envy" moment just yesterday!

I don't watch online videos for a variety of reasons so am not commenting on it. But the founders upgrade was long overdue!
All I can say for the ESV Study Bible so far is bravo on the Smythe Sewn bindings. But where is the Large Print edition?

Charles, the ESV does have large print editions, like this one. They may have many more, I dunno. I use the ones with tiny print. :)

DLytle and D.J., I don't have time for people who see my clear warning and choose to watch anyway. Or ones who see the warning and watch in order to judge me and my blog. Go elsewhere. Thanks.

C'mon -- you're not dissing the Cameo, are you? I actually have that song on a 45 somewhere at my parents' house. :-)

Steve, if, when you relaunch the church, you choose that "new look" for your preaching outfit, I would guarantee at least some church growth.

Dana, how do you know I don't dress like that already?
