Y'all need a non-Calvinist up in here :-P
Jesus and the Victory of God - N.T. Wright
God Crucified - Richard Bauckham (the way he shows how the servant in Isaiah 40ff is linguistically tied to the LORD in Isa. 6 is worth the price of this little book)
The Word of Life - Thomas Oden
The Death of the Messiah - Raymond Brown (2vols.)
I'll leave it there since Brown is 2 vols and I can't think of anything else.

Ditto to most all, but want to really second John Murray's Redemption: Accomplished and Applied. To my mind, a classic.

* I am making a distinction between books on the cross and those on the broader subject of the atonement.
