Brief Molly Update: She is doing really well. Scheduling a neuro/psych test for the late summer and a sleep test in the near future. Otherwise, all is relatively well.
Are you going to The Gospel Coalition 2009 Conference? C'mon! I'm one of the speakers at Band of Bloggers. My topic is "What is the place for art and culture in Christian blogging?" As you know if you've read Reformissionary for long that I'm very fond of music, photography and poetry. Should be a good time.
A summer Chicago Tea Party? Interesting CNBC video...
I'm hooked on the eyeballing game.
Marvin Olasky: Prodigal Sons: Part of the evangelical problem is knowing which brother we are
Everybody talkin' Calvinism. Scot McKnight. Alvin Reid.
Planning a Mars Hill sermon series.
Have you seen The Legend of Speedo Guy? Good stuff. Yes, Joe Thorn actually found something in sports that I hadn't heard of.
Do you know if heckling is allowed at Band of Bloggers? ;)
Looking forward to seeing you!

Is it possible to heckle by throwing out loud and random compliments? Try
that. :) Look forward to seeing you there Darryl.

Darryl, I think you should pull a little "Speedo Guy Action" McCoy during his session! That would be priceless! If you were organizing that I would consider getting on a plane from Prague, Cz to go!

Steve,
Glad to hear Molly's doing better. I have prayed for her off and on...
CNBC - Regardless of the merits of the President's Mortgage Assistance plan, calling people "losers" is vitriolic and unchristian. Beyond that, the very people who want to have "a Chicago Tea Party" received immense benefits in the form of growing portfolio's and a ridiculous economy from the "bad decisions" of the "losers" that they now disdain. Further, at this point, it's not merely people who "made bad decisions" who are losing their homes. It's also thousands of people who have been laid off because other people (banks, traders, loan officers, other home buyers) made bad decisions. Again, opposition to the President's (or any politician's) plans or policies is perfectly legitimate, but demonizing other people, who may or may not be at fault, is uncharitable, unchristian and only further ossifies divisions in our populace. Great for politics, terrible for the gospel.

Miles, thanks for your prayers for Molly. Always appreciated.
As to the video, I think it's funny and worth watching whatever your
politics or religious views. It's newsworthy and surprising.

Oh my. That speedo thing is hilarious.
The Band of Bloggers sounds completely awesome. I wish I could make it up to Chicago just to encourage you there.

To encourage me? Or to "encourage" me? :)

Zach:
That is a great idea. I'm seriously considering it!

Wow. I'm a little behind in reading your blog. Speedo Guy, are you kidding? Being a Duke fan I really appreciate that! BTW, nice beard dude.
