>< Starting to read Introverts in the Church by Adam McHugh soon. So much good buzz out there on this book. I've needed a book like this for years, and now it's here. From the introduction...
My hope is that, through this book, God will begin or continue a process of healing introverts--helping them find freedom in their identities and confidence to live their faith in ways that feel natural and life-giving, the way that God intended.
>< I'm still working on a review for Holy Ground: Walking with Jesus as a Former Catholic by Chris Castaldo. I really like it. If you are doing outreach to Catholics or have Catholic family and/or friends (that's pretty much all of us), I recommend this book.
>< Phriday is for Photos tomorrow. Some of the photos from the photography project for 5th grade art are up at the school and I snapped a couple of pics. Proud of these kids.
>< The last few days have been an explosion in good, new music. Looking forward to a few great recommendations on Monday.
>< New Lots-o-Links post middle of next week or so.
>< I'm planning to put a post up next week on resources I've been using to study and understand Catholicism.
>< Getting a lot of ideas for posts on both evangelism and discipleship. Hope to start getting to those next week.
>< April is coming up fast, which means National Poetry Month comes once again to Reformissionary. Can't wait!
Doesn't it seem kind of funny that introverts supposedly need to be "healed"? I'm an introvert and I don't feel pathological, though I could be wrong ;)
I'll be interested to hear what you think about the book!

Steve, just wanted to say that I love your blog. I stumbled upon your site just browsing the web for some new music & I instantly was hooked (I especially liked the Big 5 Book Lists.) It is really my primary source for new book & music recommendations (no pressure or anything.)
Also, my wife & I were hanging out with some friends, & we were discussing music interests. Our friends asked me about the blog I was talking about, & I mentioned your name. They both got excited & said they knew you way back when. Ryan & Danielle West. Just thought I would share.

Hey Jason. They emailed me after that talk. World is a small place, eh? I've been thinking of restarting some big 5 stuff. Now I have one more reason. Thanks for the kind words, brother.

Eliza, that was my very first thought. I'm hoping Steve can shed some light on what at first glance seems like a bit of nonsense. Yes, I'm an introvert, and I firmly believe that's the way God wired me. In other words, attempting to "heal" me would in fact be an attempt to make me into something God never intended for me to be. Looking forward to your thoughts on that one, Steve.

Guys, it's freedom IN their identities, not FROM their identities. It's about being an introvert, not getting away from it. Do my readers really think I think being an introvert is a bad thing? Goodness.

Steve, I think you should only ever put up a quote with a full paragraph of qualifications.
