Brandi Carlile's Live at Benaroya Hall album has dropped to $4.99. You need it. One of the best singer-songwriters working.

Steve,
Love your site and have followed you faithfully for several years now. I'm wondering why you haven't referenced the new Spotify service. You talk about a LOT of music and I can't afford that much, even when you lead us to great bargains. Now here comes Spotify that allows for me to sample whole albums before I drop even the $3.99 or $5+ for groups that you like but I'm not sold in with a 30 second preview. They have Brandi's album which I'm trying out and it costs me nothing while being completely legal. I've gone back and worked my way through Arcade Fire, Bon Iver and several more that you've endorsed too. If you haven't tried the service I highly recommend it. The Premium service even allows you to take tracks with you on your smart phone, offline. (No I don't work for the service. I'm an English teacher.)

Andy, many have asked me that. I'm sure I'll get to try it out at some point. It's been a crazy busy summer and I just haven't had the chance to jump in. Glad you are getting the chance to try out some good music!
