Heyo! It's a super-happy Music Monday here at Reformissionary because I have stuff to give away to some of my readers.
Stephen Miller (Twitter) is worship leader at The Journey church in St. Louis, where Darrin Patrick is pastor. He has written a new book, Worship Leaders, We Are Not Rock Stars (Kindle) and put out a new worship album, All Hail The King. The album includes new worship songs as well as reworked Hymns like "Crown Him With Many Crowns." I've been listening to the album and enjoying it a lot. His new albums and previous album, Hymns, is on regular rotation in my house.
I have 5 of the Worship Leaders, We Are Not Rock Stars eBooks (epub, mobi, or PDF) to give away today that each include a free download of the album.
Here's how you enter to win a FREE eBook that includes a free download of the album...
1. Tweet (or post to Facebook if you aren't on Twitter, or do both!) without the quote marks: " Get Stephen Miller's new worship album & book FREE. RT & comment at Reformissionary to enter: http://bit.ly/14xLgfb "
2. Comment below (so I can confirm you did step 1) with your real name and real email (kept private) and FOR FUN in your comment let me know a neglected old hymn that you love and wish would get consideration from Stephen or someone else for a future worship album.
*I'll use random.org to pick the 5 winners tonight, and I'll announce the winners on the blog & send out emails. May the odds be ever in your favor!
Your blog is one of my favorite blogs of all time. I've been watching it for years. Thanks for always producing amazing material - and for all the music suggestions. (Oh, and I put the tweet on @nownotyet.)

I know some works have already incorporated "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross", but would love to hear what some other artists would do with it.

I entered as well. I love the hymn "The Love of God". I don't like the arrangement in our hymnal, but I love some other versions I've heard of it. They lyrics are great at pointing to God

I'd love to hear an updated recording of the "O The Deep, Deep Love of Jesus" and I can never get enough of "Come Thou Fount" ...working on my own rendition of that one right now

I'd love to hear someone take a really good re-setting of "The God of Abram Praise."

Entered. @jdanielross on Twitter.
We do "Here Is Love" a lot. I didn't know this hymn until I heard a Mars Hill version years back.

FYI, check out Enfield's version of O The Deep Deep Love. One of my favorites.

I'd love to hear a modern version of "Beneath the Cross of Jesus"

Pause, my soul, adore and wonder is a hymn that needs a makeover. It was written by Krishna Pal who was William Carey's first convert in India. I'd love to win the book and CD but I am not Facebook savvy or on Twitter.

Sorry,
I got my wires crossed, Krishna Pal's first line is:
O thou , my soul, forget no more the Friend who all thy misery bore...

I haven't really been into the Stephen Miller music I've heard on Spotify. (This album isn't there yet.) At least his previous albums have had that signature Christian Pop sound. I am, however, very interested in the book... Any other feedback you want to give on his newest album?

I'm very excited to both read the book and download the album (whether or not I get picked)! Other than O Sacred Head Now Wounded (which was already mentioned), I would say that my favorite is O Gracious God, Thy Pleasure by Miss C Thompson.

Oh, and I've always been a huge fan of "There is a Fountain Filled with Blood." So good!
